About Multi-table Tournaments
Multi-table poker tournaments (MTTs) are large-scale poker competitions where players are seated across multiple tables simultaneously, with each table accommodating a certain number of players. As players are eliminated, tables are consolidated to maintain balance until only one table remains.
Multi-table tournaments start at scheduled times, and registration remains open until the tournament begins or a designated period after the start of the tournament, known as "Late Registration. MTTs can take up to several hours, so there is a synchronized 5-minute break across all running MTTs every 55 minutes past the hour.
Our players can compete in No Limit Hold'em (NLHE) and Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) tournaments. We offer the following tournament types:
Freezeout Tournament
A freezeout is a tournament that only allows players to register and enter once. Once a player is eliminated, their tournament is over.
Re-Entry Tournament
A re-entry tournament is a type of poker tournament that allows players who have been eliminated to re-enter the tournament and continue playing during the late registration period. To re-enter, a player must pay the full buy-in amount, including the rake. The number of re-entries allowed and the late registration period for re-entries may vary from tournament to tournament. The exact information will always be stated in the detailed tournament lobby.
Satellites
Satellites offer players the chance to win their entry into a higher-stakes tournament for a lower price. To determine the number of tickets awarded, the prize pool is divided by the target ticket value.
The prize pool won't always be divisible by a set number of tickets, so we'll always payout the maximum number of tickets and distribute any leftover funds as set cash prizes. The cash prize value will always be less than the value of the target ticket.
The target ticket value, the number of tickets awarded, and any cash prizes can always be found in the tournament detail lobby.
Knockouts (KOs)
In Knockout Tournaments, the buy-in is split between two components: the main prize pool and the bounty prize pool. Players earn cash rewards when they eliminate their opponents, making every knockout both strategically important and financially rewarding. This structure injects an extra layer of excitement into the gameplay, as each elimination brings instant cash rewards.
Progressive Knockouts (PKOs)
Progressive Knockout Tournaments are built on the standard KO format with an added kicker: a dynamic bounty system. When a player eliminates an opponent, they instantly receive a portion of that opponent’s bounty in cash, typically 50%, while the remaining 50% is added to their own bounty.
With each elimination, bounties grow, turning the pursuit of top bounty targets into a dynamic and essential part of the strategy.
Please note that the progressive knockout parentages can change, but are always outlined in the tournament detail lobby.
Tournament Tickets
Tournament tickets are virtual vouchers that players may use to join selected tournaments. Each ticket has an expiration date and a fixed value that can be used for selected tournaments with the exact same buy-in amount.
Players can win tournament tickets in satellite tournaments or receive tickets through promotional offerings. Players can view their active tournament tickets directly in the poker lobby by:
PC/Mac: Click on the ticket icon next to their available balance;
Mobile: Tap on the dotted menu and select the ticket option.
Guarantee Prize Pools
Some of our tournaments have a guaranteed prize pool. In these tournaments, we will pay out a minimum amount of dollars, regardless of the prize pool value generated from registrations. The guaranteed prize pool values can be found in the tournament detail lobby.
If a tournament with a guaranteed prize pool is cancelled, we will refund only the total buy-ins, not the guaranteed amount.
Late Registration
After a tournament begins, there is a designated period known as "Late Registration" that allows players to continue registering for a predefined period. If re-entries are allowed, a player that is eliminated from the tournament can re-enter during the late registration period.
The late registration period will close early under the following circumstances:
The number of active players is one more player than places paid. For example, if 61 players remain and the tournament pays 60 places.
The next registration extends the money bubble so that all active and registered users will be awarded a prize
The maximum allowed number of entries is met.
Blind Structures
Blind structures vary by tournament and are always shown in the dedicated detail lobby of each MTT.
Pay Tables
Pay tables vary by tournament and are always shown in the dedicated detail lobby of each MTT.
Rake
In an MTT, each player pays a fixed buy-in to enter the tournament. The buy-ins are split among the tournament prize pool contribution and the rake (or fee) we collect to host the tournament. The rake is usually a fixed percentage of the total buy-in and varies by tournament.
The rake information is always shown in the dedicated buy-in screen for every tournament.
